A2 Tiered Box Card Tutorial

Hi there friends! Brandie here with a tutorial on the new A2 Tiered Box Cards. I made the A2 Tiered Bird Mountain (SVG, Silhouette). This snowy mountain card will make a perfect birthday card for my dad who loves the outdoors.

I cut the box card body out of white cardstock but wanted a blue snowy backdrop for the mountains. So I used some distress oxide inks on the tallest middle panels. I then made all of the folds on the score lines (see picture for fold diagram). Then I assembled the inserts. All of the inserts will have a valley fold on the tabs. I also applied the decorative panels to the outside of the box. Once I was ready to glue the inserts in I applied the glue to the outside of the tab(red side for me). Then lined up the front of the tab to the vertical score line and the diagonal score line of the box.

For the second the third insert I lined the tab up to the tab in front and the diagonal score line of the box. I then folded the tabs all in and applied glue to the backs of the inserts and the tab to close up the box (see picture below on how I applied the glue to avoid gluing the box tab to the inserts).

Now that the box is assembled I added the background mountain and the snowflakes.
The green plaid paper is from the My favorite Christmas collection by Echo park Paper Co.

October Mini Album 10/5

Hi there crafty friends! We made it to October! Woohoo! Time for cooler weather, pumpkin everything, and spooky fun. The last few years I have created an October daily album for all the cute fun things I have done with my family. Since this year will be scaled back I wanted to create smaller version of an October daily. I used the Circular Pop Up Card (SVG, Silhouette) for a October mini album. (I used pictures from last year for an example.)

I used my sewing machine to stich around all of the cover panels. As I glued the cover panels on I left the tops open to create pockets for tags and extra pictures.

The papers, stickers, and embellishments are from the I Love Halloween collection by Echo Park Paper Co.

I hope you are able to enjoy this Fall season and get a little crafting done. Thanks for stopping by.

A2 Insert Card Ideas

Hi there friends! Brandie here with a few ideas for some of the new insert cards in Lori's shop. There is lots of options, endless possibilities, and they are so quick and easy to assemble.  I used the A2 Insert Card Mandala (SVG, Silhouette), A2 Insert Card Flower Spray (SVG, Silhouette), and the A2 Insert Card Cut and Fold Butterfly 4 (SVG, Silhouette).

Once you have the images uploaded in Cricut Design Space you will have to decide which version you want to use. There are three. I used the folded card with the insert.

I ungrouped the images and deleted the flat card version and front cuts version. I also changed the middle score line from a cut to a score line.

I folded the cards at the score line then tucked the insert into the card from the back (inside).

I used white cardstock for the base of all three cards. I used a papers from the I Love Crafting collection by Echo Park Paper for the flower spray card and the butterfly card. I painted the flower spray card with watercolors. For the butterfly card I added sequins to middle of each butterfly for some sparkle.  I used distress oxide inks and gold paint on white cardstock to create the color blend for the mandala card.

These cards really are so quick to assemble, look great as is or embellished, and will make the recipient so happy. That's it for me today. Thanks for stopping by!

Have you seen the new word art in the shop? (Around the House Phrase Bundle) So cute. I used the Laundry Room Help Needed (SVG, Silhouette) to make this sign. I resized the image to be a 9x9 square and cut out in black vinyl. I then applied it to a DIY sign blank I found at Walmart.

Paige Taylor Evans Guest Designer

Hi there friends, Brandie Adams here from Conviviality Crafts! (Blog, IG, Facebook) I'm so excited to be one of Paige's Guest Designers and share three of my projects with you using Paige's cut files.

My first layout I used the Zinia Flower #295917 This cut file is one that does not have a outline that encloses the image. I used the negative pieces to create the flower image rather than backing the positive image the cut file creates. I used fun foam under all of the petals to give the flower dimension and shadows. I the embellished with stickers, floral ephemera, and enamel dots. The patterned paper and sticker embellishments are from the Truly Grateful Collection. The flowers and tassel are from the Whimsical Collection.

I love sunflowers and when I saw the Sunflower #320995  cut file I knew I had to make a mini album with it. I sized the sunflower to 5.5 width and 5.3 height. For the cover of the mini album I cut one sunflower with all the details and backed the center with a dark brown cardstock and paper from the Truly Grateful Collection I also cut seven more sunflowers of just the outline to crate a solid sunflower for the pages of the mini album.

I embellished with pattern papers, stickers, and word stickers  from the Truly Grateful collection. I also used several flower ephemera from the Whimsical collection. The gold Thickers and ribbon are all from my stash.

For my last layout I used the Maze Background #267505 I paired it with the rainbow colors in the Turn the Page collection to create a fun candy land themed layout. For embellishments I made some peaked flags and tags from paper, chipboard stickers, and the mini foam alphas, and several stickers from the Paige Evans sticker book. I also did a messy stich down the center line to hold everything in place.

This has been so fun to create with Paige's cut files and Pink Paisley collections. Thanks for having me!

Fireworks Display

Hi there friends! Brandie here with a tutorial for a cute 4th of July Fireworks Display (SVG, Silhouette) These fireworks are so cute and simple to make. They can be added to a vase, mason jar, or even a fake potted plant like I did here.

First fold all of the score lines as mountain folds (away from you). Then glue the decorative panels in place. (I glued the long side tab first and then glued the decorative panels which made this step a little harder for myself.) Glue the long side tab creating a octogen shaped tube. Working from left to right glue the top tabs together until you have two tabs left. The last two tabs can be glued together at the same time. Pinch the top points together then flip the firework over and use a pencil or paint brush handle to secure the tabs on the inside of the firework.

Now its time to embellish the firework, curl the tails, then using hot glue add a paper straw or bamboo skewer to the inside of the firework.

I resized the firework and made two smaller ones. The paper collection I used is America by Echo Park Paper Company.

That's it for me toady. Thanks for stopping by!
