Vintage Style Christmas Sign

Hi there! Today I have a tutorial on how I made this Christmas sign using the Sleigh Rides on Santa Claus Lane file. You can find it here in Loris shop.

After I got my image uploaded and sized accordingly I cut  out the image on vinyl to create a stencil. While my machine was cutting the images I painted the white layer on my barn wood square.

I only did one thin layer of acrylic paint and did not go all the way to the edge of the wood to help give it an aged look.  While the paint was drying I weeded the vinyl. To create the stencil I removed the inside parts and kept the negative image.

To apply the stencil I cut the image into thirds  and applied to the dry painted wood. I am the queen of eye balling things and did that here. But transfer tape would help with applying the stencil to the wood.

Once the vinyl was applied to the wood I rubbed everything down with the long flat side of a bone folder being careful not to gouge the wood. I used red acrylic paint and a stencil brush to apply the paint in thin layers.

After I had the color and coverage I wanted I gently pulled the vinyl off the wood.

I then used a hand held sander and carefully went over the sign.

Here it is all ready to add to my Christmas décor. I love how it turned out and have plans to make another one with a  nativity file next.

Halloween Silhouettes with Brandie

Hi there!  I'm over on Lori Whitlock blog showing off this quick Halloween project.

I used the Vintage Frame Skeleton Silhouettes. You can find the man here and woman here in Loris shop. You can also find them in the Silhouette Store here and here.

I cut the skeletons out of vinyl and applied them to some silver paper for a faux vintage mirror look. I then trimmed the skeletons to fit into my dollar store frames! There you have it. They are ready to add to my Halloween gallery wall.

Today I am sharing my take on one of the new twist pop cards. There isn't a Halloween version yet so I modified one in Cricut design space. I changed the word Fall for Boo and used the Halloween print and cut stamps to decorate my card.

I had a lot of fun assembling this card. It came together fairly easy and makes a dramatic statement when opened.

You can find the twist pop cards here in Lori's shop and here in the Silhouette Design Store. For the Halloween print and cut stamps go here in Lori's shop and here in the Silhouette store.

Thanks for hopping along with us today. Your next stop is to Brigit's blog for her cute project.

Lori has this cutie for FREE today so be sure to add him to your cart.

Once you have finished your shopping don't forget the 30% off code!

Oh and there is a little giveaway too! Enter for your chance to win $20 to Lori's shop. WooHoo!

I Love you to the Moon Layout

This sweet boy and his cuddles.. Oh how I love him.  I'm not usually a fussy cutter. But after I found the Moon Struck by Pink Paislee stack in Hobby Lobby I had to cut all those big florals out. So pretty and girly. All of my paper embellishment came from the paper stack.

I may have to do more fussy cutting in the future.  I love how it turned out.

Life is Sweet Layout

Time really does fly. Last week marked 10 years since my husband asked me to marry him. That seems so long ago. I feel like I went to sleep and woke up to ten years later. Good thing I have pictures to show for that 10 years together.

For my lay out I used the paper and embellishments from the Summer Dreams collection by Echo Park. I love how dreamy this collection is.
