If you have been following along on Loris's socials, you will know that this is my third Lighted Mug Shadowbox. I'm hooked, I have enjoyed making them and gifting them to some of the special people in my life. This version is the Mug Lighted Shadow Decor Gingerbread (SVG, Silhouette).

Mug Lighted Shadowbox Tutorial

Hi there! Today I am sharing an assembly tutorial for the Mug Lighted Shadowbox Snowman (SVG, Silhouette). This shadowbox would make a great gift or beautiful decoration for the holiday season. I used The Magic of Winter collection by Echo Park Paper Co.

This project was a little bigger than I thought. It stands at eleven inches tall and eight inches wide. I needed four sheets of white cardstock, two sheets of navy, one patterned paper and smaller scraps for the red, orange, and pink elements. I used some ballon lights to light mine, but a short strand of fairy lights will also work.  

First, I folded all of the score lines as mountain folds with the navy color facing out. I then glued down the decorative panels to the mug base. The bottom of the mug base has three segments I glued the longest middle tab to the base of the mug to give it a good anchor making sure everything was lined up and straight. After the middle tab was dry, I glued the two shorter tabs to the base. (I thought it might be easier to leave one side open while I added the white panels, it isn't. Just glue all the tabs.)

I added the white panels to the inside of the mug base. No glue required, they just slide in and sit in the notches that my machine cut. I then glued the top of the mug into place using the same method as the bottom. I folded all the tabs into place for the decorative front. I assembled the cookie, candy cane, and snowman. I added some white highlights to all of my elements with a paint pen. Then glued them into place on the front of the mug. 

I added glue to one side tab of the mug base and lined the edges up waiting till everything was dry and secure. Once the tab was dry, I lifted the top to add glue to the remaining tabs and secured the top into place. 

I added a few stickers from the collection. I also slipped a few lights into the back to see it lit up. 

This shadow box is darling and was fun to make. There are several other versions of this style of shadow box that you can find here.

Box Card Envelope Birthday Balloons

Hi there friends! Today I am sharing a card I made for a sweet boy who is celebrating his golden birthday very soon. I used the Box Card Envelope Birthday Ballons (SVG, Silhouette). I'm a sucker for a box card and this envelope version is so cute! This birthday boy will be celebrating in one of his favorite places, so I had to use the A Magical Place and Magical Voyage paper collections by Echo Park Paper Co.

Lori Whitlock Creative Team October 2024 Blog Hop

Hi there! Welcome to the blog hop! The order this month is Lori, Brandie, Ashley, Cathy, Chelsea, Sue, Nolene, and Tamara. I have a family Halloween party every year and like to give my something I have made. This year I made them all a 3D Pumpkin Halloween Bundle (SVG, Silhouette). I couldn't decide which I liked best, so I used a panel from all of the pumpkins. I really love how they turned out. This pumpkin looks more complicated than it really is, I made several in one sitting. I added some balloon lights to light the inside.

3D Lantern Bats Tutorial

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by today. I am sharing an assembly tutorial for the 3D Lantern Bats (SVG, Silhouette) file. This cute lantern has several versions and makes a cute decoration for Halloween. For one lantern you will need two sheets of cardstock. I also used a few scrap pieces of cardstock to make some fall leaves for embellishment. 

Once all my pieces were cut, I folded all of the score lines as mountain folds. I then glued all of the D ring shapes together. The lantern body is one piece with one long tab, I added glue to the tab and lined up the opposite edge of the lantern body to the tab. After the glue was set, I flipped the lantern over and added a generous amount of glue to all the bottom tab and folded over the base and applied even pressure while the glue set.   

For the base I flipped the base piece over so that the top is on the bottom. I then glued the two longest tabs together. I then added glue to the other long rectangular tabs and folded up the side to secure. Back to the first side I glued I applied glue to the side of the base and held in place. For the flap with the large hole, I only applied glue to the opposite tab. This is to create a sleeve for a battery tea light. 

I then slid the square with the small tab through the sleeve to cover the large hole in the bottom. I then flipped the base over and add a generous amount of glue to the bottom of the lantern body and secured the base. I used the two small holes to line up the body to the base. 

For the top small box for the lid the of the lantern I flipped it over and pushed all of the rectangle shaped tabs back into mountain folds (this helps keep them out of the way while I glue the box together). I added the D ring between the notches. I added glue to the square tabs and held in place while the glue set. I alco glued the c shaped piece together by adding glue to just the tab. 

Once the small box was dry and set, I pushed all the small tabs through the square in the roof of the lantern and added glue to the small tabs on the inside of the lantern roof. I then added glue to the tabs on the top of the lantern body and held the roof on with even pressure while the glue set.  

After the lantern was dry, I cut some oak leaves (SVG, Silhouette) and inked the edges of the lantern. I used some chiffon ribbon for a bow and glued on the oak leaves.  

I had a little ballon light to my lantern to get the bats to cast on the walls and shelf. 

This would be a fun addition to a Halloween table or teared tray display. Thats all for me today. Thanks again for being here.

Halloween Mailbox Card

Hi there friends! Do you send cards for Halloween or know someone who loves spooky season? If so, Lori has some cute new Halloween cards available. I made the A2 Box Card Halloween Mailbox Bat (SVG). But the entire bundle is worth having! (SVG). I love the cute characters and all the florals in these cards. I used papers from the Halloween Party by Echo Park Paper Co.

Anyone else ready for all the Fall things?? It has still been really hot where I live but there was 80-degree weather on the forecast later this week! For the Arizona desert that is Fall! Ha ha! So, I pulled out some fall papers and made the A2 Box Card Flower Mailbox (SVG, Silhouette). 

I used papers and stickers from the I Love Fall collection by Echo Park Paper Co.
