Box Card Envelope Birthday Balloons

Hi there friends! Today I am sharing a card I made for a sweet boy who is celebrating his golden birthday very soon. I used the Box Card Envelope Birthday Ballons (SVG, Silhouette). I'm a sucker for a box card and this envelope version is so cute! This birthday boy will be celebrating in one of his favorite places, so I had to use the A Magical Place and Magical Voyage paper collections by Echo Park Paper Co.

Lori Whitlock Creative Team October 2024 Blog Hop

Hi there! Welcome to the blog hop! The order this month is Lori, Brandie, Ashley, Cathy, Chelsea, Sue, Nolene, and Tamara. I have a family Halloween party every year and like to give my something I have made. This year I made them all a 3D Pumpkin Halloween Bundle (SVG, Silhouette). I couldn't decide which I liked best, so I used a panel from all of the pumpkins. I really love how they turned out. This pumpkin looks more complicated than it really is, I made several in one sitting. I added some balloon lights to light the inside.

3D Lantern Bats Tutorial

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by today. I am sharing an assembly tutorial for the 3D Lantern Bats (SVG, Silhouette) file. This cute lantern has several versions and makes a cute decoration for Halloween. For one lantern you will need two sheets of cardstock. I also used a few scrap pieces of cardstock to make some fall leaves for embellishment. 

Once all my pieces were cut, I folded all of the score lines as mountain folds. I then glued all of the D ring shapes together. The lantern body is one piece with one long tab, I added glue to the tab and lined up the opposite edge of the lantern body to the tab. After the glue was set, I flipped the lantern over and added a generous amount of glue to all the bottom tab and folded over the base and applied even pressure while the glue set.   

For the base I flipped the base piece over so that the top is on the bottom. I then glued the two longest tabs together. I then added glue to the other long rectangular tabs and folded up the side to secure. Back to the first side I glued I applied glue to the side of the base and held in place. For the flap with the large hole, I only applied glue to the opposite tab. This is to create a sleeve for a battery tea light. 

I then slid the square with the small tab through the sleeve to cover the large hole in the bottom. I then flipped the base over and add a generous amount of glue to the bottom of the lantern body and secured the base. I used the two small holes to line up the body to the base. 

For the top small box for the lid the of the lantern I flipped it over and pushed all of the rectangle shaped tabs back into mountain folds (this helps keep them out of the way while I glue the box together). I added the D ring between the notches. I added glue to the square tabs and held in place while the glue set. I alco glued the c shaped piece together by adding glue to just the tab. 

Once the small box was dry and set, I pushed all the small tabs through the square in the roof of the lantern and added glue to the small tabs on the inside of the lantern roof. I then added glue to the tabs on the top of the lantern body and held the roof on with even pressure while the glue set.  

After the lantern was dry, I cut some oak leaves (SVG, Silhouette) and inked the edges of the lantern. I used some chiffon ribbon for a bow and glued on the oak leaves.  

I had a little ballon light to my lantern to get the bats to cast on the walls and shelf. 

This would be a fun addition to a Halloween table or teared tray display. Thats all for me today. Thanks again for being here.

Halloween Mailbox Card

Anyone else ready for all the Fall things?? It has still been really hot where I live but there was 80-degree weather on the forecast later this week! For the Arizona desert that is Fall! Ha ha! So, I pulled out some fall papers and made the A2 Box Card Flower Mailbox (SVG, Silhouette). 

I used papers and stickers from the I Love Fall collection by Echo Park Paper Co.

Back to School Pillow Box

Hi there friends! Today I am sharing a quick little treat idea for all the back to schoolers. I used the Pillow Box with Curved Handle (SVG, Silhouette) and the School Stickers (SVG, Silhouette). 

Once I had everything uploaded to Cricut Design Space I resized the pillow box to 5.5x9.33. I wanted to be adle to fit two boxes on one sheet of 12x12 paper. I also flattened the sticker images and printed them out on plain white cardstock. For the tag I used one out of Cricut Design Space, but here is one from Lori's site if you need one (SVG, Silhouette). I used papers from the School Rules collection by Echo Park Paper Co.

I cut four pillow boxes and two sets of the stickers. I also punched some tiny hearts. I layered up some of the stickers on the tags leaving room at the top for the recipient's name. I used a liquid glue to attach everything because I didn't use a sticker paper. For the box I pre folded the score lines as mountain folds. I then added glue to the inside of the box on just the handle. 

After the glue was dry I folded in all of the side tabs.

I then used some bakers twine to attach the tags. I filled my boxes with a rice crispy treat and a little note for each kiddo. 

This little pillow box is so versatile and great for any occasion all you need to do is change up the papers. Defiantly worth having a few in the file library. Thanks for stopping by today and happy back to school!

I have really enjoyed making flat cards lately and have been wanting to use up some old stash of supplies. I saw this cute A2 Card Teacups (SVG, Silhouette) and pulled out some Alice in Wonderland papers and got to work. I love how this turned out! Cute little Alice and those butterflies...so darling!

Hexagon Pop Up Card Palm Tree

3D Envelope Box Flowers Tutorial

Hi there! Today I am sharing a tutorial for the 3D Box Flowers (SVG, Silhouette). Lori has three versions of this cute decor piece. You can find them here. This box would make the perfect gift for anyone that likes to receive a bouquet of flowers with the added bonus of the flower's not dying! 

I was a little stumped about what colors to make my flowers but knew I wanted sunflowers. So for some inspiration I googled sunflower bouquets and found a lot of beautiful options. I settled on blues and lavender. The pattern papers I used come from the Day in the Life No. 2 collection by Echo Park Paper.

All of the flat style flowers have two layers for the petals and most have three layers for the middles. I inked the edges of all of my flowers to give them a little dimension.

For the rolled flowers I used a quilling tool. I like how tight I can get the roll with the tool. I started on the outside edge and rolled all the way to the base of the flower. Once I had the flower rolled, I pulled the tool out and pinched the flower with my thumb and fore finger a slightly loosened the roll, I then added hot glue to the base and pressed the roll into the glue. After the glue was cool and set, I flared the petals with my thumb. I repeated the steps for the other two rolled flowers.   

I folded all of the score line into mountain folds, added the decorative papers to the outside of the box, and glued the box pieces together.   

I then folded the bottom front flap down, added glue to the two side tabs, and then glue to the back bottom tab and flipped the box up and pushed from the inside to secure the base of the box. I also glued the decorative paper piece to the inside of the box. 

The inserts each have two tabs that are a valley fold, I used a bone folder to get a strong fold so that when I added the glue to the tabs it wouldn't get everywhere while I got the insert lined up. After I got one side lined up and where I wanted I used a small cloths pin to hold the tab in place while worked on the other side. For the first insert I didn't glue the flowers on before I glued it into the box (this is the easiest way). I used the same process for the second insert except I had the flowers on the insert first which made the process a little more difficult.  Once the inserts were dry, I added the flowers and leaves to the first insert. 

The front of the box has a greenery piece with three little flower buds and four circles showing where to glue the remaining flowers down.  

I also added some fussy cut butterflies and a pearl to my white flower for a little added embellishment.

This month I used the A2 Daisy Card 2 (SVG, Silhouette) to make a slim line card. I resized the card base to 7x8.5 and cut the daisy 5 times. I used papers from the Special Delivery Baby collection by Echo Park Paper. I love how easy it is to customize this card and make it work for anything.
